Alessandra Ambrosio frequently returns to her native homeland Brazil.

And this week the 33-year-old supermodel is yet again back in the southern hemisphere, soaking up the summer sun while celebrating Carnaval with her family.

The Victoria's Secret Angel has shared a collection of photos to Instagram from the luxurious UXUA Casa Hotel & Spa in Trancoso, located in the tropical region of Bahia in the beautiful South American nation.

On Sunday the Brazilian beauty posted a bikini-clad snap from the resort's stunning green aventurine quartz pool, which she captioned in Portuguese, 'Morena tropicana', which translates to 'tropical brunette' or 'tropical tanned skin'.

Just hours earlier Alessandra gave her 3.6 million followers a peek into her downtime, as she's seen relaxing in a beach-side cabana with her son Noah Phoenix, aged two, and other family members.

The lingerie and bikini model captioned the happy picture, 'Domingo gostoso' or 'yummy Sunday'!

Missing from the family snap was her husband, American businessman Jamie Mazur, and their six-year-old daughter Anja Louise.
